Dear Families,

Throughout the pandemic, our first priority has been your well-being: physical, emotional, and spiritual.

In December 2021, we began carefully monitoring the local health situation of our students and volunteer teachers. In Ephesians 4, we teach our young people:

…lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.

With the support of the Executive Team and Education Board, we are temporarily pausing Sunday School, Confirmation, and Youth Gathering meetings for the remainder of January 2022. Enrolled families will receive more detailed-info, including a rescheduling of our Grade 3 Bible Milestone, through our FlockNote email system.

We will remain connected to our membership’s needs, and re-evaluate as the weeks continue. Our prayer and goal is to provide safer, in-person learning to the best of our ability–hopefully, next month.  Please watch for another communication at that time.

Finally, though student education is paused, 9am Sunday worship will continue, online and in-person, and pastoral care is available to all ages by request.

With prayers and love for each of you,

Pastors Heidi Heimgartner & Mike Walerius & Melissa Stoen, Director of Children’s Ministry

  1. Pastors Mike and Heidi – On behalf of the Elinger family we would like to thank both of you for the wonderful service for Ardis Elinger Krejci. I know you recorded the funeral on facebook, however, we are not believers in facebook so we are wondering if there is another way we could view Ardis’s funeral or maybe it could be placed on a DVD so we could download it for our TV. Any assistance on this matter would be appreciated. I know Ardis enjoyed First Lutheran over all these many years. Thank you. Loren and Nancy Elinger
