After 1.5 years of planning, our sanctuary hearing loop project is nearing completion! To make this possible, everything in our sanctuary and east-end offices were carefully removed by a team of volunteers overseen by the Trustees. From September 8–13, 2025, our sanctuary carpet was stripped away, the hearing loop grid was laid, pressure sensitive carpet tiles placed on top, and our pews and furniture returned—just in time for Rally Day, September 14. September 15-20, our organ console returned, the baby grand piano was moved into the sanctuary, and finishing touches for office area recarpeting were completed (mitigation was needed in main office).

In weeks to come:

-the hearing loop will be cailbrated in our A/V cabinet;

-a moveable baptism font (harmonious in style with the lectern and pulpit) is being designed and fabricated; &

-new covers for the exposed pew bolts will be placed.

This project was a true team effort, requiring a huge amount of prayer, cooperation and care. It represents a dream come true for hearing accessibility in our worship space—made possible through the generosity of the Burton & Ardis Knutson family, given as a memorial project. The font is sponsored by the Matthias Meester family via the general Memorial Fund; and the grand piano was received from the Aaron Maixner & Kristyn Maixner family. To God be the glory!
