First Lutheran of Blooming Prairie dedicated the sanctuary at 434 First Street SW to the glory of God 50 years ago on April 30, 1967.

We are gathering to celebrate all the ministry done in Jesus’ name & re-dedicating ourselves to God’s mission here as The Welcome Place.

Past, present, future!

Music, worship, stories, conversation…some surprises in store…and we’ve curated a look at our archives, too.

February Sun School Offering

There is a good bit of winter left, and still little hands that need warmth.  This month, let’s fill the Elementary building’s mitten tree for Nurse Kay and our friends at school.  Bring your offering to worship any Sunday in February.  [Sunday school students: you are awesome!]

November Sun School Offering

November = Camp Noah!

Sun School Offering this month helps elementary-age children in the US whose communities have suffered a disaster.

Camp Noah began in 1997 as a response to flooding in the Red River Valley (North Dakota and Minnesota), and it is headquartered right in our backyard: Albert Lea, MN!

Camp Noah has been to Rushford, MN following floods, Oklahoma following tornadoes, and all over the country–including several places after Hurricane Sandy…and to Newtown, CT.

Camp Noah provides a safe, caring and fun environment where children build resiliency skills within the familiarity of their own communities, using a proven curriculum designed to help children process their disaster and/or trauma experience through creative activities and play.

Camp Noah celebrates every child as special. In this safe and supportive setting, children are encouraged to face their fears, grieve their losses, identify and share their unique gifts and talents, and plan for an amazing future.

First Lutheran Sun Schoolers, please bring any listed items forward during offering each Sunday, all month long.
